To make the experience in our practice as smooth as possible for everyone, we ask that you please cancel appointments at least 24 hours before.
Since I am not involved in the National Health Care System (gesetzliche Krankenversicherung, e.g. AOK, DAK, TKK, BEK etc.), the cost of my treatment will usually not be covered by said insurances.
Depending on your contract, private health insurance companies will reimburse the cost of therapy partially or completely. For this it is necessary that a detailed application is submitted, a mental illness is medically diagnosed and explained why psychotherapy is recommended. Also keep in mind that there can be significant risk premiums when applying for e.g. life and/or private health insurance in the future, if you need to specify that you have once had psychotherapy. Since I am bound to confidentiality, no one gets to know without your permission, that you are or ever have been in treatment.
Special case: reimbursement procedures by "Gesetzliche Krankenversicherung"
In addition to privately insured and self-paying clients, patients insured through the public health insurance service can also get reimbursed under the framework of the so-called reimbursement procedure (Kostenerstattungsverfahren): if other practicing psychotherapists in the area have long waits and it is important for you to begin psychotherapeutic treatment right away, you may apply for reimbursement trough your public health insurance (e.g. AOK, DAK, TKK, BEK etc.). Sadly a guarantee for this does not exist. In the download below you can find out about the conditions of the process.
